Setting up your solar lantern is easy! Turn the solar collector switch to “on”, and then hang your lights and place your solar collector in direct sunlight (6 hours for best results) with the solar panel facing up. Once the sun goes down and it gets dark enough, your solar collector photosensor will turn the lights on automatically!

Wanted to love these, but....

I was disappointed. The lanterns must be in a sunny outdoor spot during daylight to “power up” and although I carefully moved them into good positions during the day, they only hold a charge at night for about two hours. If you have other porch lighting around the lanterns it diminishes their light so they only look good in a dark background. All in all, I found it a bit cumbersome to move them around and I believe traditional string lighting provides a better ambience for outdoor dining.

Beautiful light!

I ordered a set of 3 of these round lanterns for our back yard. (Initially one of the 3 wouldn't charge or turn on but customer service was quick to respond with a replacement!) The lanterns I have charged well during the day and have a really pretty amber tone glow in the evening. i've hung them over an outdoor shower we just built and it really transforms the space! I've ordered an additional set for over our dining table on the deck! Magical!
